second chance: vintage copper canister set

Happy Thanksgiving!  Please know that Gigi and I are thankful for you and your continued loyalty to Splash of Lime.  A kitchen post seems completely appropriate on this Thanksgiving Thursday... as I'm confident several of you are spending a ridiculous number of hours in the kitchen, preparing delicious meals with people you love!

So, without further adieu, remember this post...  We listed and sold a very similar set in the past!
Gigi recently found another set of vintage copper canisters and she's asking for $34!

Let us know you're interested by sending your offers to single.splash.of.lime@gmail.com!

talavera-esque canister set

I spent a summer abroad, studying in Puebla, Mexico and my host family spoiled me rotten.  They treated me to fun weekend trips, exciting dinners, and Talavera pottery.  When Gigi sent me a picture of this canister set, I thought back to my own beloved Talavera pottery and my near perfect summer in Mexico.

I think this set would be a fun and funky, not to mention functional, addition to a kitchen!

love at first sight: china cabinet

Prepare yourselves.

I'm about to share a piece that's easily in my top ten favorite things Gigi has ever found.

It reminds of this...

And it'd be a great place for showcasing pretty collections, kind of like this...

If I had a spot for it...
if I lived in North Carolina...
if I had actual china...
well, then, I'd just be selfish and keep it.

But I don't have a spot for it and I'm not in North Carolina and I don't foresee procurement of a china collection in my near future.  So, send your offers to Gigi at single.splash.of.lime@gmail.com!

weekend find: library bookcase

Confession.  I love a library.  I attribute my love for the library to my grade school afternoons spent at the Dobson Public Library.  I did my homework there, spent time with my very best childhood friends there, and occasionally made use of the empty shelves in prohibited games of hide and seek there.  When Gigi sent me this picture, I thought of the library.  Now the Dobson Public Library wasn't fancy and it certainly never featured bookcases with glass front doors, but it was a sacred place for the books, stories, and experiences that shaped me growing up.

This bookcase is a true treasure and a steal at only $135.

Feel free to request a less blurry photo.  I'm sure Gigi will be happy to send one your way.

breaking: gigi goes junking, brings home the gold

If you follow along on Insta, you know that Gigi just found a gorgeous faux bamboo mirror.
She's asking just $50...
20" x 28"

Get inspired and imagine the piece in your home with these pretty, pretty images...

blue + white tuesday

I'm in love with this pretty lamp Gigi recently found.  Y'all know she and I both love blue + white and well, a good, reasonably-priced lamp is hard to come by.

I imagine it paired with a fun mirror... sort of like this...

weekend finds: storage solutions

I'm back again after yet another several weeks long hiatus!  Though I took a blog vacation, Gigi has been hard at work and I have posts lined up for the entire week.

First, Gigi picked up two 3-tired floor storage units over the weekend.
They'd both be great in the kitchen!

The first option is fairly tall at 51" and get this.... those three baskets are removable.  You can compare our version to an identical Joss & Main version.

The second option is more petite at only 21" high.
It would also come in useful in smaller spaces, like a powder room.
Let us know if you need either option by e-mailing us at single.splash.of.lime@gmail.com!
And hooray for being back!  Thanks to those of you who've sent encouraging messages in my Splash of Lime absence.
