weekend find: bentwood chairs

Sweet friends.  Thank you, thank you for being patient with my erratic blogging efforts.  I'm doing the best I can to keep up with Gigi... but I'm not going to lie, she gets more done in 24 hours than most people get done in a week or two... and generally speaking, she smiles her way through it all.

So, sit tight.  I've got a whole lot of catching up to do.

I'll start with this pair of vintage bentwood chairs.  Gigi had to school me a bit on these pretties so I'll give you a quick rundown (or scroll down to the pic if you can do without the history lesson).  Bentwood chairs, often referred to as bistro chairs, date back over 150 years.  They are best known for their simple and functional design, comprised of just six parts.
15" x 16" x 34 1/2" ( seat height 18")

I imagine them in a kitchen sort of like this...

Now in my world, the settee pictured would have a little more punch... but I'm obsessed with these bentwood chairs paired with that modern bistro table.
