weekend find: a date with destiny

Yes.  This is first a home blog.  But this weekend, Gigi and I found a non-home find that was too good to not share.  Now, if you've been to Goodwill, you know that each store features items to be bid on in a glass case at the front of the store.  Gigi and I feel certain that our sweet friends at GW don't always know quite what they have, because... SERIOUSLY... this item should have been in the case.  Instead, the case housed Etienne Aigner purses.  I'm not, as my Mema would say, "throwing off" on Aigner purses; however, I am saying, if one really wanted an Aigner purse, one could go down to her local Belk, armed with her weekly sale paper and coupon and buy one at a reasonable price.

One could not go down to her local Belk and pick up one of these...
Now, the bag is not in perfect condition and Gigi and I are still working on confirming the authenticity of the bag itself.  I couldn't not buy it though.  The leather was buttery soft.  The single gold chain, the tassel, and the emblem inside all sort of whispered, "yes, I am real."  And so it came home with me for a price so low you wouldn't believe me if I told you.

Go, search your local thrift stores and have your date with destiny.  You may find a Chanel purse in great condition with $0.95 still inside.
