weekend find: chinese console table

Gigi and I fancy ourselves pretty good at combining old with new to create that collected over time look most people so desire in their homes.  She and I both love the way a "special" piece passed down over several generations or an antique picked up at the flea market give a room a sense of tradition.  Adding Chinese or Oriental furniture is an easy way to add that same sense of history while also supporting the functionality required by modern homes.

The piece above retails for $999.  Similar pieces from Oriental furniture exporters and antique dealers generally sell for at least $500, if not more.  You can imagine how thrilled I was when we picked up this piece...
Our version comes without the Wisteria and/or antique dealer price tag.  It's beautiful as is or would be divine lacquered up in green or distressed in blue.  This piece is for sale and could be your's for $170 OBO.
