currently coveting: southern draw artwork

I am learning that turning a house into a home requires the careful selection of pieces that I genuinely love.  I am also learning that a room never feels quite finished when its walls are bear.

Gigi and I love nail holes.  Gigi actually has a reputation as a pretty skilled picture hanger, having received hammers as gifts on more than one occasion.  She works fast and without a level.

I love knowing that not only am I surrounded by Gigi's nail holes, I'm also surrounded by artwork that means something.  Here are two of my favorite pieces by my FAVORITE local artist, Amber McClure...

An Old Well print that lives on my buffet...

A "count your blessings" barn wood sign that hangs in my kitchen...

Amber of Southern Draw is a true gem.  Though we've never met, we continue to exchange e-mails.  She happily honors requests and so in our last exchange, I shared my desires for a barn wood sign that reads, "bless your heart."  I am eager to see her rendering and will share just as soon as she is finished.
You can read Amber's story here...

You'll also be able to shop some of her pieces and no doubt find art that truly means something.

Enjoy!  And special thanks to Amber McClure for giving me the ok to share her gorgeous work!
